In the Shadow of the Tower (Dana Girls Mystery ) Carolyn Keene Grosset and Dunlap 1934 Collectible: Good None Hardcover This hardbound book is in good condition. The cover has moderate wear at corners and spine ends. Spine is slightly discolored. Two letters in the title have been shaded in with pen and there is a small scratch through the 'o' of Tower.The interior is also in good condition. The endpapers are decorated with green on cream with an image of the Dana Girls reading a piece of paper. There is a name written on the half title page. The verso of the title page and blank side of the frontispiece have signatures written all over them. The words ''Room 9'' are written in the upper right corner and in the lower right corner the page is dated ''1959'' (see 4th image). The book title was written on the blank side of the back free endpaper. Binding is solid.The series title list on the copyright page includes and ends with this title. This copy is in the original, rather chunky format with purple cover. The cover has an art deco design in black with a reverse silhouette of the Dana Girls on the front. No dust jacket.
